First off, we’re not promising that you’ll become the next Eddie Van Halen in 21 days. In fact, we’re not even going to teach you how to “solo” or play lead guitar (those guitar lessons come later). We are offered Frank and Andreas take on this traditional tune. The slower tempo gives them a chance to leave plenty of space when desired, or unleash a barrage of well-placed notes. Andreas also gives us a few bends to check out. Watch how Frank outlines the tune during his first pass this is a traditional approach to tunes like this, and Frank is a master at playing the tune straight, but musically.
Andreas second pass explores a jazzier side as he pulls idea after idea from his bottomless well. Watch as he rocks between slower soulful phrases and impeccable fast passages. Frank then makes sure he makes full use of the fingerboard before finishing up the tune with some fun interplay and a nice quote from Andreas.
